The Quay Construction & Glazing team recently worked on a project for Ella, an artist who works in her beachside studio, Ella's Studio, on Exmouth seafront. Ella gains inspiration for her paintings through working everyday in the open air along the seaside and Devon coastline.
Her existing studio doors did not offer the visibility for passersby to view the amazing work in her studio, but also lacked the ability to let any natural light into the studio and allow Ella to look out to her inspiration source.
Our design team worked with Ella and Simon, the manager of Side Shore, to design a pair of bespoke aluminium doors that met this criteria, delivering the functionality and aesthetic that was required.
The new aluminium doors that have replaced the old solid doors, transforming Ella's Studio into a much more welcoming space that met the design and functional needs of the client.
We designed fully glazed aluminium doors to improve visibility for the client and passersby, showcasing the sea view and studio's interior.
The new fully glazed aluminium doors help maximise the natural light entering the studio, brightening up the artist's workspace creating an uplifting space.
These bespoke aluminium doors have helped improve the thermal efficiency of the space, as well as transforming the studios' external appearance.
